More than thirty years the Plaza Mayor of Seville was a physical vacuum with no activity what so ever. But in 2011 an architectural structure brought modernity and dynamism to this historic Andalusian city. The Metropol Parasol is one of the greatest compositions of wood in the world and intrigues every one. The Plaza Mayor has become a place to be, with loads of bars and restaurants and other businesses. A superb demonstration of the impact of architecture.
